*There is a $100 deposit to register which will be used as a supply fee.
Need to KnowWe are located in the Beacon Hill area of Spokane, Wa. Your learner must be potty-trained to enroll in our programming. We will set up a phone interview to ensure we are a good fit for your family. We are outdoors all year round, and follow the public school calendar for closures. We believe in fully equipping grown-ups with the knowledge and confidence they need to make outdoor learning a success for their littles!Curriculum/Daily StructureOur curriculum has been created by a K-8 educator with a heavy emphasis on Montessori and student-led ideals. We follow the seasons around us and weekly learn about what is occurring in nature, letters, begin introducing numbers, and work through social-emotional topics that are vital for this age. We believe that children have an innate desire for meaningful work-so we offer daily opportunities for "station work", unstructured play, exploring trails, and expressive art. We have access to beautiful trails, wooded areas, and countless opportunities for exploration and discovery. In addition to our outdoor learning environment, we have a small, insulated structure that serves as our indoor classroom option. This space allows us to incorporate even more Montessori-inspired learning, with prepared shelves, hands-on learning stations, and year-round art and practical life projects that connect with our forest adventures. We spend the bulk of all days immersed in nature, but this space allows us to offer a few more learning-through-play opportunities.
